ART ON THE STAIRWELL
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Thanks so much for your interest in sharing your artwork with us! Vroman’s is proud to feature and sell the work of local artists. We host six shows a year in our stairwell gallery space and are generally looking for work that we love, that fits in with our overall mission, and that we believe, based on our experience, will sell in our store.
The below guidelines are designed to help you determine whether your work might be a good fit for us.
Artwork must be:
- Family-friendly (due to the proximity to our children’s department)
- Frames with hanging wire on the back
- Less than $500 per piece (with some exceptions)
We rarely do travel photography or portraits because they’ve proven to not sell well for us. We try to do at least one oil exhibit, one children’s exhibit, one photography exhibit, and one pop culture exhibit per year.
We’re always looking for work related to books, authors and writing, as well as work that highlights Pasadena or Los Angeles in some way. We also look for diversity.
If you decide to share your work with us for consideration, please email us at email@vromansbookstore.com with the subject line “art on the stairwell.” Please either include a link to your website or attach at least 4 images of your work.
Our review process takes 2-3 weeks and we will respond to you via email. We look forward to seeing your work.
